Just cause the turbos are boosting doesn't mean that they are functioning properly. They could be leaking at the seal, could have internal damage to the housings, or quite a few other things. This leads to the turbos boosting when you test drive the car, but just being a ticking time bomb after you buy it. I had never had a turbo car before I bought mine and knew very little about them. I ended up buying a car that the turbos were shot and ended up going out on me in 1k. Very expensive lesson learned. So I'm going to have to dissagree with you on this one.
